
What is swine flu?
Swine flu has spread panic all across the world. The countries that are most affected are US, Mexico and Canada. More than 200 people are died until now in Mexico because of this virus. This is a pigs flu virus which do not normally effect humans. But it has been reported that there is a pig farm along with US border in Mexico and this farm is contaminating the drinking water of near-by villages. The first case of Swine-flu was detected in February 2009 and since then the citizens living around this pig farm were protesting against this farm.
Who are affected?
Mexico, US and Canada are the nations which are most hit by this influenza. As Mexico is a popular tourist destination among the developed world, the cases of Swine flu are detected in all around the world. New Zealand, Spain and UK are some other countries which have announced cases of Swine-flu.
Swine flu in London
Today, London papers was full with experts warning that Swine-flu is in London but its carriers still don't know that. They fear it can spread through the over-crowded tube network of the city.
Symptoms
Swine flu symptoms are common as normal flu, that means you can feel headache, nausea, fever or fatigue. You can be feeling all these symptoms due to your normal flu as well, as in London the cold wave of weather has been returned and if you are not wearing any warm clothes, you can easily catch normal flu but you should let your doctor know about it. If your doctor suspects your flu as swine flu, he will write some lab tests for you, which will confirm that either you are a swine flu career or not. If you have the symptoms of any flu, cover your mouth when sneezing with a tissue paper and throw away the tissue paper after that and wash your hands at regular interval, plus avoid meeting anyone, as you can infect others.
Treatment for Swine flu
It has been reported that normal flu medicine, Tamiflu and Relenza can control swine flu if given in early stages. These medicine can not be bought without a valid prescription of a GP in UK. However, you can find them on the Internet. NHS currently holds much stock of this medicine and there is no need to panic. However, some people are buying this medicine of the Internet and one seller has told that they have got 25,000 orders of these medicine in one day.
